I think back to our wedding last year and it was 85 degrees and humid at the end of September. Although I’m excited to start dressing for fall I have to come to terms with the fact that it is not boot season just yet. That doesn’t mean we can mix and match summer and fall in the meantime…

Maternity style isn’t always easy towards the end of your pregnancy. I’ve tried to stick to a few simple fashion concepts to help feel stylish on days when I feel like a balloon. My tips: {1} Simple is best. Wear classic items that make you feel pulled together, trendier items tend to be more of a risk. {2} Stick to monochromatic colors – neutrals or variations of one color. {3} Mix it up. I am a huge fan of mixing delicate textures with something edgier. Thank lace and army green, leather and silk, stripes and leopard print.

Old Navy’s new collection is filled with amazing staples for fall. My lace dress is a steal at only $35 and this anorak jacket is light enough to transition into cooler temps and will keep you warm when layered over a cozy sweater. I paired this look with a floral scarf and snakeskin loafers to add some color and print. I’m also eyeing this sweater, these jeans, this coat, these booties and this saddle purse. PS: You should probably snag my striped swing dress from this instagram {it comes in a solid colors, too!}.
