Just as Memorial Day Weekend symbolizes the start of summer, Labor Day is the first real weekend that feels like fall is on the horizon. This year it is supposed to be around 90 degrees so although the temperatures won’t truly feel like fall, I’m excited to pack a bag full of classic pieces that can easily transition into my favorite season.

Dave and I are going to spend one last weekend at my lakehouse before we return to Chicago to enjoy the city on Monday. I plan on packing my favorite summer pieces to enjoy our days on the beach – grilling out, sipping lemonade, floating on a raft in the middle of the lake, and taking walks with Webster – followed by some fall favorites for dinners al fresco.
