Summer beauty is my favorite because I can ditch the layers and really focus on products that help bring out the natural glow of my skin. My skin has been a bit more combative lately {thank you pregnancy} so I knew it was time to find a few new products that would not only feel light on my skin but prevent oily-ness, buildup, and leave my skin feeling fresh and ready for the day. On days when I have meetings I tend to schedule them all day long so I’m out the door early. I needed products that could wake me up and keep my skin bright and I think I achieved just that!

I dedicated an afternoon last week to spending some time at the Neiman’s beauty counter and trying out a few products that I had heard rave reviews about. I also wanted to speak with some of the specialists to pin-point exactly what I was looking for to achieve that perfect summer, al-natural look. Here’s what I discovered…

Aerin Ikat Jasmine Eau de Parfum – I’ve been searching for a new scent since early spring and finally stumbled upon the most beautiful, fresh, light, and feminine fragrance. Exactly what every woman wants!

YSL Touche Eclat Radiant Touch Highlighter – Honestly this will be a game changer in your makeup bag. I went to the YSL counter looking for this product because I had heard such rave reviews and sat with a beauty specialist as she chose exactly the shade I needed for my skin tone and taught me exactly where to highlight on my face. Think almost facial contouring with a highlighter. I apply this along the top of my eyebrows, along my brow bone, underneath my eyes, the side of my nostrils, down the center of my nose, and above my lip – blend in and watch your skin GLOW. {I apply this on top of my Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer and a bit of Bobbi Brown bronzer, then I finish with a swipe of Bobbi Brown blush in Maui}. Note: a little goes a long way!

YSL Beauty Forever Light Creator Eye Corrector – This is a similar concept to the highlighter but more moisturizing and perfect when you don’t have time to re-apply your makeup. I now keep this in my purse at all times when I notice that my face needs a little pick-me-up! I apply it under my eyes and down the center of my nose for a soft glow. It also reduces puffiness which good lord I need for my entire body.

Chanel Healthy Glow Palette – Another similar concept but totally different! On days when my skin is extra dry, I try to avoid liquid makeup because it ends up making my skin look cake-y. This palette provides a subtle glow and a hint of color for your cheek bones. Another easy item to keep in your purse, plus it’s just so pretty.

YSL Rouge Volupte Shine Lipstick – This is my new favorite lipstick. Seriously, buy it in every shade! It is like liquid velvet for your lips. Not only is it incredibly moisturizing and soft but the color if the perfect amount of pigment and it stays on! I love #12 and #04.

All of these products are perfect for days when you’re on the go! You can layer them on top of your normal routine to achieve a glowy, bright complexion and they are the perfect pick-me-up when you’re darting around the city.
