Although my job doesn’t require that I be dressed up for work every day, that doesn’t mean that I don’t love pulling out more tailored pieces for afternoon meetings, lunch dates, or cocktail hour. One of my favorite ways to give standard work attire a fresh update is by purchasing classic silhouettes {trousers, pencil skirts, silk blouses, blazers} in a color and/or softer texture {to avoid too much structure} and pairing it with monochromatic accessories, a statement necklace, or some embellishment. These Vince Camuto blush trousers {also come in black, run a little large!} are perfect for work days but also look great with a striped tee and ballet flats for brunch with the girls. I paired it with an embellished blouse and gray accessories.

Nordstrom currently has a featured shop that is all about work wear and it is a great resource for those of you looking to add new pieces your work attire for spring. A few of my favorites include this bow top, a perfect satchel handbag, a fun spring coat, a vibrant top, a pretty pink skirt, and leopard flats. You can shop my more pieces from their shop below…
