Dave and I don’t tend to go all out for Valentine’s Day – maybe a nice dinner and a lovey card but that’s about it! Valentine’s Day actually reminds me of my mom, who used to go all out the morning of February 14th with a basket full of our favorite things – nail polish, slippers, new pajamas, a candle, and a piece of jewelry. It was definitely a holiday made for the girls because guys don’t seem to really care {or in Dave’s case, usually forget!}. That doesn’t mean that I don’t enjoy a surprise hear and there, dressing up in pink and red for the occasion, or indulging in a few of my favorite things. It’s a day to celebrate love and if Dave doesn’t want to go all out, I love myself enough to celebrate alone {ha!}.
