On days when my schedule requires that I dress a bit more professional, I love to mix casual pieces with tailored items in my closet. These pants are the perfect contrast to my sweater and help to disguise how comfortable I really am! The plaid shirt provides a fun pop of print against the fair isle and adds an extra layer of warmth during these cooler temps. If I find myself downtown with an hour to kill, I love popping into the Art Institute for some mid-day inspiration.
When I have visitors in town, I love getting to play tourist in Chicago! One of my first stops is always Millennium Park for a photo opp at the Bean. I always strive to feel stylish when I leave my house but comfort is key when my day is spent walking all over the city. This fair isle sweater is an outfit in itself and I love how it looks paired with casual basics.  Such a fun, easy look for a day of exploring!
Michigan Avenue is home to majority of the fashion in Chicago and is the first place I take my clients when we’re doing some personal shopping. One of my tried and true favorite trends is mixing prints and I love the simplicity of this black and white skirt paired with the bold colors of the fair isle sweater. My favorite trick when it comes to mixing prints is creating contrast between the two by mixing a small-scale print with a large-scale print. I promise it always seems to work!
How will you wear fair isle this winter? My sweater also comes in two other colors and is the perfect pop of print on a cold winter day! Also, I’m featured on Old Navy’s website today! Check it out here!!
