Minimal StyleDuring the transition from winter to spring I always have a hard time adjusting my wardrobe to not feel so heavy. It’s never going to be not warm enough in Chicago to completely change over to bold prints and vibrant brights so I prefer to soften up my look with a more neutral palette, minimal accessories, and soft textures. To be honest, after the holidays I am so over constant snow, cold, salt stains on my boots, and the beauty of winter – I’m ready to hear the birds and smell grass again {wishful thinking}. To get me through the rest of the winter months, I’m striving to make my looks a bit more minimal – think chambray, cozy knits, buttery leathers, subtle prints, delicate accessories, natural makeup, and classic silhouettes.
