We are headed back to snowy Chicago this afternoon and I’m feeling a little sad to leave this special plantation that we are visiting in South Carolina. Our days have been spent outdoors hunting, fishing, horseback riding and taking our dogs on extra long walks, followed by massive southern meals and multiple beers throughout the day. To say I’ve been overindulging would be an understatement. My wardrobe changes quite a bit when I visit South Carolina – I pack my more preppy pieces and rotate between plaids, riding boots, and cozy sweaters, always layered under my Barbour jacket. The perfect combination for cold days followed by cozy nights by the fire. Now it’s back to reality and time to actually dive head first into 2014!
