Tomboy

Tomboy_2Tomboy_5Tomboy_7Tomboy_4Tomboy_6Tomboy_1Tomboy_8To me, this outfit is a prime example of why personal style is fun. On most days, you will find me in something extremely basic {think sweater, denim, and flats} or in something that screams I like to dress like I’m 12 {think cutesy dresses, embellishments, and soft textures}. But sometimes I like to experiment with items in my closet and play up my accessories to exaggerate the outfit a bit. Minus the hat, I would most likely wear this look to meetings, lunches, or dinner dates with my girlfriends. It is the perfect balance of masculine and feminine thanks to a fluttery skirt and sparkly baubles paired with moody plaids and black booties. But the hat takes it to a whole other level – kind of urban street meets pre-teen boy, but in a pretty skirt. So take my lead and try throwing a cap into the mix. I promise you’ll discover a whole new level of cool that you didn’t know you had! {Trust me, I felt way cooler than I am in this outfit}.
