Skincare is an individual journey. We are all at different ages of life, different stages of skin heath, and it’s sometime hard to figure out what you need in your own skincare routine. When I was younger, my main goal was always to keep my skin tight and moisturized. Now that I’m older, I use some heavier hitting products to combat fine lines and wrinkles, help with collagen production, discoloration and texture. I always try to share products that are all across the board (knowing that my blog readers are all different ages!) but there are a few “luxury” products that I always like to have on hand.
When it comes to skincare there are sooo many brands and products that I love. I’ve never been a person who sticks to a consistent, tried and true routine, all the time. I like to test and try and I always have a few of the same type of product in rotation at one time. I’m always asked what exact products I use and I wanted to share some of the products that I go back to over and over again.
A retinol is really important once you see those fine lines popping up and you’re wanting to keep your skin looking TIGHT. I use and love a retinol by SkinBetter that is only available from a esthetician or dermatologist office but I also love this one from Sobel SkinRX.
I’m always asked about which eye creams I use and this M-61 Hydraboost Eye Serum does wonders for my eyes. It’s a gel and it absorbs so well leaving the soft area around your eyes so hydrated. I use to all the time and it lasts forever (you only need a half a pump for both eyes). I like to mix if with my concealer when my eyes or dry or put it on right when I wake up. I also love M-61’s Vitablast Eye Concentrate – it is a richer cream and great if your eyes require more moisture.
Two masks that I love: Biossance Renewal Mask and Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask, both leave you with baby skin that is nice and tight! Finish with a big dollop of moisturizer.
Augustinus Bader Rich Cream is really a crown jewel when it comes to moisturizer but if it is out of your price point, I also LOVE the Sobel SkinRX Hyaluronic Moisturizing Cream. It is thick and wonderful.
I am all about exfoliating and the M-61 Peel Pads have been a tried and true favorite in my routine for almost 8 years. They work well in a quick 30 second swipe.
Serums are like the magic elixirs of skincare routine – that’s where you’ll find a lot of concentrated ingredients that go to work on your skin. I love Skinceuticals C E Ferulic to help balance skin tone, diminish dark spots, tighten and brighten skin. I also love Vintner’s Daughter Active Botanical Serum that is almost like an oil. I use this a few nights a week and you wake up GLOWING. It’s wonderful
