My 5 Favorite Mom Jeans

This week I’m rounding up some of my “favorite things,” starting with mom jeans! I can’t tell you the last time I wore a pair of skinny jeans or anything other than a straight leg, high rise silhouette. It is a much more comfortable situation for me as I carry my weight in my legs and butt and I appreciate a more relaxed fit. All of these styles are very similar (and some are the same!) but with slight variations so make sure to read through the descriptions. If you want to see these jeans in action, I shared a try on IG REEL for you to see the movement/fit a little more clearly.

I also feel like I should say that I think jeans are a personal experience. There are so many styles that I have tried because they look great on others, only to order and realize the proportions don’t work for my body type at all. I’m 5’4″, my waist is small but my thighs and booty are muscular. I am also very short waisted so there is a fine line between high waisted and way too high waisted. I don’t love a ton of spandex in my jeans because they I feel like you can see every little ripple. I prefer a good denim, straight leg with that lived in feel. So that’s what you’ll get here! If you have any questions, leave them in the comments!

*A quick size note, right now I am between a 26 and 27. Depending on how much the jeans stretch out or room they have in the thigh I can size down to a 26 but I also wear a 27 when I want a little more room. I’ll not the size I took in each style below.

AGolde Riley High Rise Straight Crop Jean in Zephyr

For the past two years, these have been a top 5 seller on HAF. I love these jeans so much! The perfect light wash, high rise, straight leg with distressed ankle and slight step hem. They don’t have any stretch but soften with wear. I am wearing a 27. I find Agolde to be more fitted in the thighs and my thighs are pretty muscular. I sort of recommend sizing up in these jeans if you’re in-between sizes OR just prepare for them to be a little tight at first but they will definitely relax. I will be sharing another Riley style next but you’ll see they are very different fits. This one reads true “mom jean.”

Agolde Riley Straight Crop Jean in Frequency

So, technically the same style as above but very different in my opinion! These have a more relaxed fit and tend to “soften” more with wear. This style fits more like a traditional straight leg. These are my more casual jeans and the ones I reach for the most because they are so soft. I love the wash, it’s a little darker than the previous style. I am wearing a 27, these have loosened more in the waist but I still prefer the bigger size. I also have the 26 and they are more fitted in the thighs.

Agolde 90’s Pinch Waist Straight Jeans

A higher rise, straight leg meets almost boot cut jean that is an easy pair to throw on and go. I had to cut the bottom of these because they were a little long (I’m 5’4″). They are relaxed, look very cute with cropped sweaters/tops and look really nice on the booty. These have more room in the legs and define the waist really nicely. A more comfortable jean, a little looser fit in the leg but still looks refined. I’m wearing a 27.

Citizens of Humanity Charlotte Straight Jeans

I love these jeans. I had to cut the bottom a little (I’m 5’4″) but the denim on these is BUTTER. They are also just such a beautiful silhouette and fit the body so nicely. The waist, thighs and then the line down the leg is straight and slimming. These jeans get softer with wear but don’t lose their shape which I love! I am wearing a 27 and could probably size down but I just love the softness and casual look of these. They are very slimming. These are an investment because the denim is a dream. That true vintage feel.

Citizens of Humanity Charlotte Crop Straight Jeans

I love my regular Charlotte’s so much that I had to try the crop! I love that I didn’t have to cut these and the wash is lighter. I am wearing a size 26 so these are a little more fitted on me but you still get that soft straight leg. Again, the denim in these CoH jeans is so soft. They don’t have stretch either but the denim definitely softens. A great silhouette, hits right at the belly button and makes your legs look long!

That’s it! My 5 favorite mom jeans – definitely very similar but also different in their own ways.
