My beauty routine changes a lot depending on the weather or my activity. Extra moisture, more exfoliating, double cleansing…I can’t say I consistently stick to a multiple step routine a night because sometimes it just isn’t necessary. BUT, there were more than a few products last year that I repurchased numerous times because they were loved. Today I want to share my favorite beauty products of 2018! In no particular order.
Elemis Dynamic Resurfacing Facial Wash: I loooove this face wash. If you have sensitive skin, be cautious because not only does this remove dirt and oil but it exfoliates so you literally feel it working. It leaves skin feeling smoother and lighter and encourages cell renewal. I bought this product 3x this year.
Tula Purifying Cleanser: Another favorite that I’ve shared before! I love this cleanser. It is gentle, it lathers well, removes EVERYTHING and leaves skin feeling clean and soft but not striped of the good stuff. A great cleanser for all skin types!
*Note: My friend Helena wrote a blog post about double cleansing and it has probably been the greatest addition to my skincare routine. A must read! I do this almost every night (depending on my makeup/SPF situation) and start with Tula first and then Elemis.
m-61 Vitablast C Serum 2.0: Vitamin C is one of the best things you can do for your skin! It promotes elasticity, increases collagen production, plumps, smooths fine lines, fights against environmental stressors and is great for anti-aging. This serum is a favorite! It also contains gallic acid which is derived from oak bark and tea leaves that leaves skin looking firmer and brighter. I apply every morning when I wake up!
Elemis Pro Collagen Marine Cream: My all time favorite face cream. It is so thick and hydrating and smells AMAZING. If I’m consistent with this my skin feels like a dream. Honestly just trust me, it’s the best.
Supergoop Mineral Matte Sunscreen SPF 40: I usually use this as a primer for my makeup because it is like velvet to your skin. Think of it as the pretty IG filter, that is seriously what it does to your skin while protecting it from UV rays. It moisturizes without any greasy feel that you sometimes get from SPF. A great base under makeup or if you’re running to get coffee and don’t want to get ready for the day – this is my best friend.
Glossier Boy Brow: I’d be lost without this beauty product. I swear the key to natural beauty is moisturized skin, good eyelashes and perfectly full brows. That’s exactly what this product gives you! The only way I tame my eyebrows in-between waxing/tinting. I wear the color brown.
Glossier Stretch Concealer: This is the most moisturizing concealer but also provides full coverage! It leaves your eyes looking dewy and bright and I love it! I’m wearing the light – I always like to wear my concealer in a shade lighter to brighten my eyes.
Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer: They call this a complexion corrector and that is exactly what this does! Brightens and illuminates, evens skin tone and provides a light coverage. It’s the perfect balance between moisturizer and foundation. I wear this alone (over my SPF) more than foundation!
Tula Exfoliating Treatment Mask: When I think about the perfect face mask I want one that takes off the day and replaces it with a fresh, moisturized face. This Tula mask does exactly that! It helps shed the dead skin and fill your pores with moisture and improve skin tone.
Biossance Squalane + Vitamin C Rose Oil: This face oil is dreamy. I actually learned about this brand first hand and this oil was a favorite product! It brightens, firms and evens skin tone while providing extra moisturize. I use this underneath my moisturizer at night during the winter and throughout the day.
Biossance Squalane + Peptide Cream: I’m in love with this eye cream. I swear I put it on numerous times a day because it feels so good. It almost has a cooling sensation that helps with puffiness and my eyes immediately feel brighter. The consistency is so nice and you feel the moisture immediately. Such a good one!
