When it comes to beauty I don’t get very fancy. I can’t seem to master eyeshadow and when I attempt eyeliner it ends up all over my face. I’m always blown away by women who can pull off a full face of makeup every single day. Sadly I don’t have enough time in the day to master this skill and my makeup needs to take me from day to night. Today I wanted to share a quick holiday beauty tutorial that gives you the perfect amount of glow while still looking very natural!
A Natural Holiday Beauty Look
Start with a cleansed face + moisturizer!
One of my biggest struggles with makeup in the winter is having it stay on all day. My skin gets so dry and it feels like the product just falls off. I recently discovered the magic of a primer (I know I’m late to the game) and whoa, I was missing out. I’ve been using and loving Giorgio Armani Maestro Primer. I love that it has SPF and makes my foundation go on so smoothly!
I don’t usually use foundation in the summer but it is necessary in the winter. Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk is a new favorite! It is light, hydrating and leaves your skin glowy! I’ve been mixing one pump of shade 5 with one pump of Luminous Silk Fluid Sheer. It is the perfect base for your makeup!
Next I apply my favorite concealer under the eyes and on the eyelids – RMS Un Cover-Up Concealer in 00. I use a light shade to really brighten my eyes.
Another winter beauty essential is a setting powder. In the summer I don’t worry about my makeup because I usually have a natural tan going on. The winter is a different story and I NEED my makeup to stay put otherwise I look a little dead by the end of the day. This Hourglass Veil Translucent Setting Powder was recommended by so many friends and it doesn’t disappoint. It seals in your makeup and makes it last all day.
Bronzer is one of those products that I buy once a year and never use consistently. However, over the summer I purchased this Becca Sunlit Bronzer in Capri Coast and it is the perfect shade year round.
Hourglass has become one of my new favorite makeup brands and this Ambient Light palette is everything you need and more. I’ve been using it for my cheeks, as a highlighter and as eyeshadow. It provides the most even glow and is a all-in-one product.
Hourglass Ambient Lighting Palette
This palette is a dream! Whether you need a hint of bronzer, blush or an all over highlight – this palette is for you. Perfect for everyday and a great stocking stuffer!
Shop NowWhen I was in California a beauty Youtuber told me about this Blinc Mascara Amplified and I was intrigued. It applies tube like extensions to your eyelashes to make them appear longer and fuller. I was super skeptical and told her I HATE when mascara smudges or flakes off under your eyes. She ensured me that this doesn’t happen with the Blinc mascara and she was right! It’s also practically weightless (it honestly feels like you’re using a bare application brush)! The more you apply the longer your lashes appear and the tubes don’t remove unless water is applied. It’s seriously impressive!
I have extremely fuzzy eyebrows and rely on a gel to keep them place. My Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Gel is by far the best I’ve ever used. The reviews don’t lie!
I finish my look with a swipe of Bobbi Brown lipstick in Almost Bare and a swipe of NARS lip gloss in At First Sight. The perfect amount of sparkle and shine and you’re ready to go!
I even created a fun little video of the application process if you want to pop over and watch it on Youtube!
I didn’t share this in my video but I’m also OBSESSED with this Fresh Vitamin Nectar Antioxidant Face Mist. I’ve been spraying it on my face 10x a day – ha. If you ever feel like your skin needs a boost of hydration throughout the day but you don’t want to take off all of your makeup, then buy this now.
