Confession: I am very opinionated when it comes to casual clothes for men. I think that guys can either pull the casual look off or they look like they are trying too hard. I think this is a hard concept for men because it seems they are either too comfortable or too business. It is hard for them to find a middle ground. I have always been one of those girls who if a guy is wearing something off, it is a no for me. Haha, can anyone relate? It’s funny that I mention this because I wish you could see what Dave wore on our first date (#flarejeans #tevaflipflops) but clearly something caught my eye and diverted me away from his post-college casual style. He has definitely upgraded his style since 2009 and lets just say I think he pulls off casual style very well.

Dave was looking for some new pieces for fall to replace a few favorites that he wears year after year. We had a day date at Nordstrom (who else loves the tomato soup at their cafe??) and had so much fun shopping together. Kid loves a good pair of corduroys so that was our main to do. He tried on quite a few pairs and we loved the fit of these Levis the most! He ended up purchasing them in the blue and green because they are under $80! Such a good fit, too. Dave loves a good hoodie but I felt it was time to upgrade to something a little nicer than his Michigan State zip up that he wears all the time. I love Treasure & Bond’s collection for women so it is no surprise that they have great pieces for men. Dave has been wearing this marled hoodie non-stop (he said he wore it every day I was in California last week – ha!). I bought these Good Man sneakers for Dave last year and they continue to be his favorite shoe (my dad has them in suede, also cute!).

Dave’s top picks for fall!

A big thank you to Nordstrom for sponsoring this post!
