I’ll be sharing everything I use (you can refer to my spring beauty routine Youtube video here!) and the best of the best from makeup, skincare, haircare and accessories from the Sephora Spring Bonus event!
My favorite makeup for a natural, effortless look.
If you buy any makeup products from this event, make it these favorites from my makeup bag. RMS Beauty Un Coverup Concealer – this stuff is gold. It fills in dark circles and wrinkles, moisturizes (so much moisture!), evens skin tone and is all natural. I use this inplace of a foundation most days because it fills in any spot that needs covering up and leaves your skin even and smooth. Becca Skin Perfector Blush in Camellia – my newest obsession! It is the prettiest, softest blush color and flatters every skin tone (I’ve used it on my mom and sister, too!). I also use this highlighter palette in Moonstone. This combo makes your skin look so healthy and really glows your skin from within. I’ve learned over the winter months the importance of a primer to keep skin moisturized with your makeup application. A few favorites include this Makeup Forever Equalizer Primer. I stumbled upon this thanks to Sephora’s amazing consumer reviews. I love this particular brand has a formula for every skin type. I personally use and love the hydrating primer but it is so fun to browse all of the options, really catering to every skin tone! Finally, Dior’s Lip Glow in pink. The perfect lip color for busy moms! It accents your natural lip color, moisturizes and pulls your entire beauty look together. It really brings even a clean, bare face together. I feel like I’m personally always experimenting with mascaras but a few of my favorite include Milk Makeup High Volume Mascara (I tried a sample of this and loved!), Clinique High Impact Mascara and bareMinerals Lash Domination Mascara.
Skincare products that leave your skin smooth, glowy and youthful.
If you’ve read my blog for awhile or follow me on instagram you’ll notice that I’m kind of obsessed with skincare. It is the one part of my routine that I never neglect. I really feel that if you have a few good products and are consistent with your routine, you’ll notice a big difference. A common question I get about skincare is the order and products I use most. If I had to suggest three items to use it would be an exfoliator, a serum and a moisturizer. For exfoliators I love Lancer’s Polish Cleanser and Caudalie’s Deep Cleansing Exfoliator. Both products polish and clean your skin to make the next few products really absorb into your pores! Next step is serums and I recommend Drunk Elephant C-Firma Day Serum (great for day!), Drunk Elephant Glycolic Night Serum (works wonders while your sleep!) and Caudalie Radiance Serum. We all have different skin tones and styles so I would recommend reading the reviews and really thinking about what YOUR skin needs. Finally, my favorite moisturizers – Tata Harper Moisturizing Cream (for day) and Drunk Elephant Luxury Face Oil (for night). If you’re looking for a great face mask – which I apply 3x per week! – I have and love Summer Friday’s Jet Leg Mask for lots of extra moisture and Drunk Elephant Babyfacial for a good, deep mask that DOES WORK on your skin (you can only do 1-2 times per week).
Low maintenance hair products for women on the go!
I get asked about my hair daily! Everything from products that I use to how I style it and beyond. It’s funny because I really don’t do much with my hair. I have really thick, course hair that kind of has a mind of its own. I can’t use too many products on it otherwise it can really absorb those products and get greasy. I start with a really clean shampoo/conditioner. I am not fussy about these because like I said, I use really clean products. Usually a purifying shampoo/conditioner combo like Suave naturals or Herbal Essence naturals. The less ingredients the better for me! Once I’m out of the shower I’ll put Bumble & Bumble Invisible Oil on my ends/the bottom half of my hair before blowdrying. I use this t3 blowdryer Cura Luxe hairdryer (the brand just sent this to me and it is a game changer, so fast!) and if I straighten my hair I’ll use my GHD straightener and if I curl my hair I use my t3 Whirl Trio typically with the 1″ straight barrel. If I straighten my hair I don’t use any additional products (again, too many products really weighs down my hair!) but if I curl it I’ll use the following. After fully curling my hair and letting it cool I’ll spray with my Living Proof Flex Spray. It is lightweight and isn’t crispy! Then I use a flat brush to completely brush out my curls to make them more of a wave. I’ll then spray with Living Proof’s Volume Blast. YOU NEED THIS!!! It is a game changer. I spray it all over, under my roots and it gives your hair so much volume and life. I’ll also use this for 2 and 3-day hair to bring it back to life. I use Living Proof Dry Shampoo on days I don’t wash my hair, too! Not only do LP products work but they smell amazinggggg. Seriously that is why I use them, ha!
If I wanted to splurge on a few products that I’ve been dying to try during Sephora Spring Bonus Event I would buy my favorite La Mer Eye Concentrate, SK-II Facial Treatment Essence (if been dying to try!) or maybe even a Dyson’s Supersonic hair dryer?! It looks so cool! Let me know what you buy by tagging me on instagram!! xoxo
