Madewell Herringbone Blazer, Halogen Tunic Tee, J Brand Maternity Jeans, Senreve Mini Maestra Bag, Gucci Loafers
If you guys saw my closet, you would probably call me a coat whore. It’s an addiction really but one I can always justify thanks to living in Chicago. When it is cold(er) 8 months out of the year you get used to a coat being the focal point of your outfit. It’s important that you pick a good one!
I bought this herringbone blazer knowing it was a big trend for spring. I am not usually drawn to the menswear trend but I love the slim and feminine silhouette of this blazer. It’s casual and cool while remaining effortless. Paired with an easy white tunic (just restocked in all sizes), one of my favorite pairs of maternity jeans and Gucci loafers (a total splurge but I’m so happy I did, similar looks for less here, here and here).
I think I’ve mentioned this before but over the past year I’ve really tried to streamline my wardrobe. Investing in items that will last year after year (basics, feminine silhouettes, rich fabrics) rather than waisting my money on trendier items. Coats are tough because they can sometimes cost a pretty penny but I’ve found 6 coats I’m loving for fall, all under $300. Links are below the image!
No. 1: Madewell x Penfield Olive Jacket // No. 2: J.Crew Daphne Topcoat // No. 3: Abercrombie Tweed Coat // No. 4: Madewell Herringbone Blazer // No. 5: Abercrombie Wool Blend Duffle Coat // No. 6: Sezane Faux Fur Coat
*I actually just bought this Madewell x Penfield coat in a size small (I love the plaid lining, similar to my coat here!) and this Sezane Faux Fur coat (in a size 6) because the color is so fun for holiday parties. Which coat is your favorite?
