I hope you all had a wonderful holiday weekend! We are traveling around Northern Michigan this week, visiting with Dave’s family, enjoying some fresh air and sunshine and parading in our favorite summer style. It’s been so nice to get out of the city and ignore our phones a bit. Charlie doesn’t get to see Dave’s side as often (I’m from Chicago suburbs, Dave is from Michigan) so he has loved visiting with his Grandma and Grandpa, spending time on the boat, watching fireworks and sleeping with the windows open. I swear the fresh air up here makes you sleep a thousand times better. We are definitely indulging a little too much and taking full advantage of our time away – I guess that is what vacations is for, right?

I don’t know what it is about summer time but my style always seems to become a bit more preppy when the weather warms up. My suitcase is filled with stripes as we hop from lake to lake this week and this OTS top has already been worn three times (oops). It’s no surprise that off the shoulder tops are a huge trend this summer and this top should be at the top of your shopping list. My top also comes in white here. I wore this outfit to dinner with Dave but had been running around to meetings earlier in the day and switched out my clutch for a tote and my mules for a cute pair of sandals.

My favorite shop for everything preppy is Tuckernuck. Are you familiar? They carry a ton of my favorite brands and everything screams New England prep. My pom pom clutch is only $40 and seriously goes with everything. It makes every outfit a little more fun.
