Springtime on Michigan Avenue

I live in Lincoln Park and rarely get the chance to come downtown so it felt good to get out and enjoy the tulips and flowering trees on Michigan Avenue and throughout Grant Park.

Nothing says warm weather quite like a printed dress. I picked up this Red Valentino shirt dress for our recent trip to Charleston and have been finding every excuse to wear it since we got home. It seriously works for every occasion – morning meetings, trips to the farmers market, lunch with my girlfriends and dates with Dave. I’ve found a few more shirt dresses that would be adorable for spring here, here, here, here and here. A new season means pretty things to add to your wardrobe and I’ve rounded up my favorites in the scroller below…

We shot these photos outside of the Art Institute which is without a doubt my most favorite museum in the city. It is so beautiful and surrounded by breathtaking parks that seriously make you believe that you’re sitting in Paris. A perfect escape from the rush of the city! If you haven’t had the chance to go you must put it on your list.
