In the summer I don’t usually wear foundation but once the weather cools down and my skin becomes a bit dryer I rely on a few different foundations to make sure my skin is moisturized and my makeup stays in place throughout the day. However, finding a foundation that works for your skin type and skin tone can be tough which is a bummer because you might have a makeup bag filled with fabulous beauty products but if your foundation sucks then nothing else matters.
Nordstrom recently launched their first interactive finder on their website that helps customers define their skin type, coverage and the look they are going for to nail down exactly what foundation works best for them! I love this shortcut because trying numerous brands at the beauty counter can be a bit daunting and time consuming. This tool makes it quick and easy to find exactly what you’re looking for!
My skin type is a combination and I usually opt for medium coverage and a natural finish. Once I enter in these selections the finder generates my results and offered 83 options for me to choose from. I was excited to see a few tried and true favorites included in my results like Bobbi Brown’s Skin Foundation Stick {which I use in a shade lighter under and around my eyes}, bareMinerals Brightening Foundation and the MAC Natural Skinfinish Compact {to keep things looking smooth throughout the day!}. If you’re looking to re-build your makeup bag for fall, I highly recommend using this foundation finder as your starting point. It’s a great way to ensure that you look your best all season long!
