Not only is it hot in Chicago but they are the most comfortable on my growing bump so there is no end in sight. I felt a little bit like Wednesday Adams in this Rachel Zoe dress {also here} however the swingy shape and lace details make for the most feminine look. Ideal for a ladies lunch, date night, daytime meeting {I also wore this dress with my red ballet flats}, cocktails, or even a special occasion.

The bump is out in full force these days. There was awhile there when I could throw on a more flowy dress but moving forward maternity wear is going to be my best friend. I’m currently typing this post from my couch with my dress pulled up to my chest watching my baby do flips in my belly so no complaints here. It is magic.

On another note, things are going to slowly change here in the coming months. A new baby means lots of new content, new routines, a new lifestyle and to say that won’t affect this site would be a lie. That being said, I want to know what you guys love about Sequins & Stripes! Favorite posts, anything you’d like to see more of, anything you hate? Seriously be honest, your comments are so important to me and I want to make sure this is your favorite morning destination. Thanks in advance!!

  1. I love your outfit posts, and I would enjoy a nursery tour or a tour of your new apartment! Also, a day in the life post after the baby arrives would be fun!

  2. OMG I love this!

I love this outfit! Keep outfits like these coming! So so chic!

ps, I think if you have a girl, she’ll be able to go back and look through your outfit photos one day and this would be one of those outfits that she’d want to recreate! It’s timeless. 🙂

  3. This look is so so fabulous!

I love your outfits posts, but totally understand that those will be harder to do when the babe arrives. I love food posts, and quite honestly am always thrilled when you do a board with outfit ideas or pieces you’re loving. I don’t think I’ve ever disliked something you’ve posted.

  4. Hi! I am a long-time reader, but first-time commenter. I absolutely love your blog, and I really admire your style, so my vote goes for outfit posts. (Then again, having experienced the post-partum period not too long ago, I understand that you may not be up for this at first!) Also, it seems that we live fairly close to one another in the city, so I do appreciate your posts on where to get the best coffee! Best of luck to you during your third trimester, and I look forward to seeing more of your awesome blog content!

    1. I am also a first-time commenter and long-time reader! I agree that outfit posts and your Chicago adventures are my favorites. Your piece last week on all of your city spots was great and helped me pick a spot to eat with a friend last weekend! Thanks so much for all you share xx

  5. You look stunning ! The Claire V leopard clutch is one of my favorite accessories so thank you for highlighting it 🙂 In addition to the outfits, I really love the recipes, tips about being more confident, and advice for staying motivated that you posted a few months ago.

  6. I love that you are embracing all the exciting change that is happening in your life! As a mom to a little guy, I’d love to see your choice of outfits for your new lifestyle, as well as ones for the little ones. I love all the lifestyle posts as well!

  7. This is adorable! How exciting that you’re about to embark on a new experience! My favorite posts of yours are when you combine outfit and lifestyle, like your favorite things to do in Chicago or when you have a themed post. They’re so much fun to read!
    Always, Hunter

  8. You look adorable! Love this chic outfit. Always love the outfit posts, but can’t wait to read your post-baby posts! I think your life with baby, advice, and product recommendations will be helpful for many new moms and moms-to-be (like me!). I think just what you’re doing now, a mix of outfits, lifestyle, family, recipe, baby, travel, inspiration/advice is a perfect mix for readers!

  9. Dear Wednesday
The dress and accessories were utterly PERFECT, you look beyond beautiful!!
    Lovingly,
    Morticia

  10. Beautiful, as always!

I definitely love the outfit posts the most! I am not apposed to more food-related posts, either : ) And of course would love it if some baby pictures snuck in. I love your blog and check it all the time. Others mentioned home decor–that would be awesome too! I’d love to see what spaces you’ve created in your new home. Love your blog.

  14. I agree with commenters above and love when you mix lifestyle + fashion, but think everything you’re doing is great already! I think keeping a good mix of fashion/lifestyle/fitness/food/travel/baby/home is the best way to go.
