#Unboxed with Shoe Carnival

You don’t see a ton of them on the here but Converse especially are serious players in my closet. However, I’m really picky about style and fit. For example, I hate when I get a new pair of sneakers and it takes me months of painful blisters and bandaids before I can actually wear them comfortably. I want them to be ready to wear immediately and it wasn’t until recently that I found the perfect pair. These have an elastic back that make them super comfortable on the ankle {almost like a sneaker merged with a ballet flat}. I had never seen a pair of Converse like this before until I popped into my local Shoe Carnival to stock up on my favorites for spring and literally walked out of the store wearing them.

Are you guys familiar with Shoe Carnival? To be honest, they have always been my little secret – it is my favorite place to pick up a new pair of Sperry’s, Converse, New Balance, and Vans at a lower price than you would find at a department store. In the past month, Shoe Carnival has opened two new locations close to Chicago – one in Vernon Hills and another in Michigan City, Indiana. I drove out to the new store in Vernon Hills and was blown away by the amount of inventory and the fun atmosphere. The store manager was adorable and happy and I literally felt like I was at a carnival, especially with this big wheel of discounts they kept spinning for customers to take advantage of throughout the day. If I hadn’t been in such a hurry I would have taken advantage of a few more new purchases for spring {hellllllooo cute Report flats and these Sperry’s come in so many fun colors!}. If you’re in the Chicago area, I highly recommend visiting one of their new stores to get a taste of what they have in stock. I am usually a big online shopper, but was very impressed by the displays, color option in each style, and amount of product – so much to choose from! For your convenience, here are the new store locations in the Chicago area:

Shoe Carnival, 701 N Milwaukee Ave, Rivertree Court, Vernon Hills, IL 60061
Shoe Carnival, 220 Dunes Plaza, Michigan City, IN 46360
