Valentine’s Day isn’t really something that Dave and I celebrate. We typically go out to dinner and write each other a little love note, but generally the day goes by and neither of us is really expecting anything different to happen. However, I do think that the idea of Valentine’s Day is a good reminder to love the one you’re with – you know? It’s easy for Dave and I to get caught up in the day to day. We are constantly in a hurry, constantly yelling “hi” or “bye” to the other as we run around the apartment or out the door, and our days end on the couch in front of the TV. I like that there is a day to remind yourself of the importance of the other, even if it doesn’t get said out loud. So regardless of if you’re in a relationship or not, the items below inspire what I love – little luxuries, ways to treat yourself, and ways to treat him {hellllllo}. Valentine’s day or not, there is always room in my budget for a little something special.
