If you can’t already tell from these photos, it is freezing here in Chicago. I am so sick of my ugly winter layers, the ones that you typically don’t see on S&S – think my dad’s ski socks, a North Face coat to my shins, and construction gloves – that sometimes I have to peel off the layers once I get to my office to feel like I still maintain some sort of style. Basic is better when it comes to my winter attire, so I try to layer as much as possible with closet essentials that are equally as pretty on their own. And I’m sorry but I don’t want to sacrifice wearing heels just because it is obnoxiously cold…they are the easiest way to feel like a lady rather than the michelin man!
