Get Your Guy Holiday Ready

Holiday Ready for the GuysI don’t know about you guys but the men in my life are particularly difficult to shop for. If they see something they like they will most likely purchase it for themselves so their Christmas lists are usually pretty boring. Since I pride myself on good gift giving I always want to make sure my gifts are something that they will love, use, and is a reflection of me. Know what I mean?  Since Dave and I started dating, I know he hates to admit it but he has become very conscious of his style and what he is wearing. He is constantly asking me “How do I look? Does this go? and maybe it’s because I am in the biz but I enjoy giving him gifts that I think would look good on him. Kind of like a gift for him and for me considering he makes some pretty good eye candy when he gets all dressed up.

This year, Dave will be spending Christmas with my family here in Chicago. It is the first year we have ever been together on Christmas and I am so excited to share the special traditions that I have with my little fam, with Dave. Christmas Eve happens to be a really special night in our house with mass, a big Christmas dinner, lots of wine, It’s A Wonderful Life, and opening a couple of presents before the big day {a tradition that comes from my dad’s side, when he was young they opened all of their family presents on Christmas Eve and only Santa’s presents on Christmas Day}. Because Christmas Eve is so special to us, we really go all out in terms of festive attire. So to the point of this post, it is important to me that everyone dress the part and that means finding a few new items for Dave {maybe a pre-Christmas gift?}. Nordstrom is typically my go-to in terms of gifts for the men in my life since it is a one stop shop for their favorite designer duds. I recently discovered the Peter Millar line and have been assembling my own wish list for Dave’s closet. Their collection is timeless, classic, and a really good price point for pieces that you know wont be going out of style anytime soon. Dave could use some updates on the pieces that he has worn to death over the past few years and the Peter Millar collection has so many fresh updates to his favorites. Between Tuesday and Wednesday there will be quite a few outfit changes from mass to dinner to Christmas morning to breakfast, etc. {and lots of tired eyes} so I created a collection of items to get your guys holiday ready! Can you believe we are less than three weeks away? It’s crunch time people.
