Metallics

MetallicBeauty1MetallicBeauty2MetallicBeauty3MetallicBeauty4MetallicBeauty5MetallicBeauty6I’ve mentioned before that I am not a big beauty buff. I suck at applying makeup, my hand-eye coordination is terrible, and I’m usually in a hurry so any extra thought ends up looking rushed and sloppy. However, lately I’ve been feeling the itch to really get my act together and start completing my look with some fun beauty products {aside from my go-to red lip}. Around the holidays, I am all about anything shiny, sparkly, and gold so I thought why not incorporate these faves into my beauty routine? With a bunch of events on the calendar and many anticipated outfit changes, metallics seem like the most neutral option. I hate when I’m dressed and ready to go and I realize that my bright red nails are clashing and I am frantically searching for remover – lesson learned, gold nails are the way to go.

So, I picked up a few beauty essentials at Target and had fun playing around with some pretty Sonia Kashuk eyeshadow palettes, Essie polish in Good As Gold, and Revlon shimmery lip gloss in Kiss Me Coral. I like that this combo felt bright while remaining soft and neutral so there isn’t a drastic difference between Liz with makeup and Liz without! Perfect for the holidays and year round.
