What are your kid friendly Charleston recs?
I have a family friend guide to Charleston right here! It has great day suggestions, too.
Do you think you’ll be a blogger/influencer forever?
I don’t know! The industry is ever changing. I feel so grateful to share with my community and in my mind as long as people are interested in what I share or want to say, I’ll be here. I hope there is some sort of extension of my brand that feels a little more physical in the arms of my audience. Maybe that’s a product, maybe that’s a feeling, I truly don’t have a clear understanding of what that would be but I’m just happy to be here!
Do you have anxiety? If so, how do you handle, you seem so chill!
First of all that’s nice. I do struggle with anxiety here and there, specifically panic attacks that creep up. I work through them with alone time and deep breaths. I like to be in silence, I put my phone away and sort of let myself check out. Doing things that feel a little self indulgent like working out, going for a walk, getting my nails done, making plans with a friend.
If someone said they were pulling a Liz, what would they be doing?
Haha I love this question! Probably sneaking away from any situation and going to bed early.
If you expand your brand, where do you see it going? Or expanding your team to help grow.
I honestly can’t see it expanding online in any other way. I feel like I personally feel very capped in terms of what I share and my mental capacity to share. Like I mentioned above, I could see it growing in a physical expansion. Something you could feel, use, wear or enjoy! I personally don’t want to be “bigger” than I already am. I feel so content!
Have you ever considered taking a GLP-1? (not that you need it, just wondering)
I’d be lying if I said it didn’t sound appealing! Especially to just maintain a healthy weight and help with inflammation. But I don’t love taking medicine in the first place and I don’t want to be married to a drug. I know I can accomplish wellness goals on my own even if they take a little bit longer.
Can we get an upper bleph update? Do you feel like it was worth it?
I love it so much! It’s honestly such a subtle thing that makes a big difference. If you didn’t know me, I don’t think you’d even notice I got it done. My eyes just feel more open, more refreshed, less heavy and brighter. I think it was definitely worth it!
What types of items are you cheap about?
Hm, I don’t know if it is that I’m “cheap” but more that I just won’t buy it. I am not very wasteful in purchases if that makes sense! I guess maybe I’m cheap in trends. I prefer to shop at Zara if it’s something I know I won’t wear much. I also don’t need the fancy version of something like a weighted vest, running shorts, kitchen plates, silverware.
What are some of your top favorite quotes to get you through a tough time?
You are your home, take care of yourself.
Now is right on time.
Nothing changes if nothing changes.
Your purpose is greater than the fear that limits you.
What is your after school routine like?
Our school hours are early – our boys start at 7:25am and end at 2:25pm (George gets out at 2:15). Charlie and Jack do an afterschool program at school and we pick them up around 4pm. George comes home after school and my work day is usually done. We go to the park, I prep dinner, the big boys relax or run around with neighborhood kids. We usually have dinner around 6pm and then get showered and dressed for bed at 7. George goes to bed at 7:30pm and Charlie and Jack will be 8:30pm on school nights.
What are the five things do you love about yourself?
I am generally optimistic, I like to put out the positive vibes for everyone. I am empathetic and can easily catch up on how those around me are feeling and try to help! I take charge of the things that I want to accomplish. I love to take care of those around me. I’m always up for fun (as long as I’m in bed by 9pm, ha).
Do you guys ever miss Webster still?
YES. We talk about him all the time and have photos of him all over the house. Bear (our 3 yo chocolate lab) is actually Webster’s great nephew and they are SO similar in funny ways. Like they both have this nervous anxiety when you look at them and give the same facial features that we always giggle about. I hate to say that the more time passes, the more you forget life with them a little bit. Webster was my favorite season of life and it always makes me sad knowing I’ll never get it back.
What supplements do you take now?
This summer I took a break from supplements after getting a weird eczema flare up on my hands. I still take my Seed probiotic daily but I was trying to nail down what was causing my skin issues. I am going to reintroduce my Kion aminos and Arrae Tone creatine chews for exercising but otherwise I’m not really taking anything else. I do also always have these Arrae bloat pills on hand after I eat and I ordered these Clear Protein sticks (15g of protein in a powder!) to try because I really love the brand. Also still have my Instant Hydration electrolytes every single morning (I mix my aminos in with it). Not a supplement but a few months ago I started taking a low dose of Progesterone during the luteal phase of my cycle (basically from the day I start ovulating to the day my period starts). It makes the biggest difference on my period symptoms!!
What are your favorite jeans for fall?
The Mother Half Pipe jeans have become my favorite in the past 6 months! They are so comfortable and cool. I also ordered these AYR barrel leg jeans that I’m excited about. I’m also very excited about these darker wash Frame Mellow jeans.
