Tis the season for giving and this year I decided to give myself a little break. After a crazy couple months of work, sick babies, travels, late nights and early mornings I am excited to take a little time off to spend more quality time with my family. As much as I looove this time of year I always feel the pressure to do it all. This year was especially packed with baking treats with the kids, visiting Santa, fun events and truly making the best out of the holidays now that Charlie has so much excitement and a better understanding of Christmas. It truly was a magical season!

Yesterday Dave and I snuck away for a date night and were talking about how full life feels these days. It’s like we don’t want to blink in fear that we will miss something! Dave kept asking me what I want for Christmas (we both said no gifts this year) and I told him “I just want a good night’s sleep, to not wear makeup, put on all of my cozy sweaters and lounge around with my kids” and that’s exactly what I plan to do over the next couple of weeks. We will be heading up to my family’s farm in Wisconsin to celebrate Christmas (remember this snowy dream from a few years ago? Can’t wait to get back up there!) and then visiting my grandmother in Charleston around the new year. She is 92 and I savor moments with her these days. It is so special to see my babies with her, too.

I picked up a few last minute gifts for my mom and grandmother from EILEEN FISHER and couldn’t help but treat myself to a couple of new cozy pieces. I had been on the hunt for a teddy coat for a few months but everything felt overly bulky. I love the look of this fuzzy cardigan and the fact that it wears more like a coat. It’s a great extra layer on days when you don’t want to reach for something heavy. I’m wearing an XS and it’s currently on sale! A good treat to yourself for the new year – wink, wink! I actually loved it so much bought one for my mom, too. When I saw this hand knit scarf I couldn’t get over how beautiful it was. The details are amazing and the coat/scarf combo reminds me of a Pinterest photo. #allofthecozy I can always count on EILEEN FISHER for classic, beautiful wardrobe staples.
