Hello beautiful polka dot dress and favorite trench coat. Doesn’t this combo just make you long for warm Spring days? An ideal setting for this outfit would be flowering trees and pastel buildings but you take what you can get in Chicago.
I swear this outfit has been on repeat lately: church, baby showers, meetings in the city, dinner in Charleston. I was immediately drawn to this polka dot dress because of the silhouette. I’m a sucker for a good feminine fit and flare dress. The ruffles, collar details and polka dots were a bonus. Polka dots seem to reign supreme year after year. I have a polka dot blouse from Forever 21 that I’ve probably owned for 5 years and still wear on occasion. They don’t go out of style! If you love the look of this dress, it also comes in a floral print that would be so cute for Easter, Mother’s Day or other Spring events.

I talked about my love for this trench coat in our Spring roundup last week. It is super lightweight, flattering and doesn’t feel as stuffy as some trench coat styles. Does that make sense? Sometimes I don’t feel my style is as preppy as a trench coats look and I like that this style is more relaxed. The ties on the wrists are so cute! These boots were a reader favorite in 2017! They sold out so quickly but I found them completely stocked and almost 50% off! I would size up a half size for comfort. I am wearing a 7 (my true size) but I have to wear thin socks with them and wish I had sized up a half size. The color is like BUTTER and they look so much more expensive than they are. Highly recommend!
