Outfit details:
Club Monaco Cardigan, Equipment Silk Shirt, CoH Maternity Jeans (similar here), Kate Spade New York Ballet Flats, Givenchy Bag
Somehow in the last two weeks it has gone from 80 degrees to high’s of 45. On Saturday it was 39 degrees! We actually woke up to a few snow flurries. Chicago has never been good at enjoying fall, we tend to jump between summer and winter.
It’s probably been obvious that long cardigans have been on heavy rotation over here. They are an easy way to effortlessly layer for fall, they look cute layered over jeans, dresses and skirts and are my best friend when it comes to making leggings look not so lazy (read: I wear them every day). I have added a few new styles to my rotation this fall, including this cozy cable cardigan under $50, this blouson sleeve cardigan under $100, this cute cardigan which I plan to wear with joggers/denim and cute sneaks, and this super cozy option for lazy days at home. I’m also eyeing this heart knit grandma cardigan! Would be so cute with high waisted jeans.
Club Monaco makes the softest sweaters and I couldn’t pass up this bell sleeve cardigan. I love that it can look dressy but also dress up my favorite pair of leggings (which I just ordered in 3 new colors for post baby). My no-brainer outfit for fall/winter is always a pair of jeans, my favorite layering tee’s, a cozy cardigan and a printed scarf. Paired with booties, tall boots or ballet flats. I swear on days when finding an outfit feels daunting, I always reach for a version of this combination.
